Xiaomi continues its line of successful and economical fitness trackers-the Mi Band, with an innovation that it has just announced. The Chinese company wants to make its recent Variant as popular as its previous ones, and this time Xiaomi has also proposed to make the device more than just a Tracker and make it a full-fledged Smartwatch.
The new Smartwatch / Fitness Tracker will fall under the name Weloop Hey 3S under the brand name MIJIA. The watch looks a lot like The Nike edition of The Apple Watch, especially if you look at the strap. It looks sporty, but has a few different takeaways. The body itself is super light and weighs only 38 grams. The Hey 3S also has a good battery that powers everything for at least 30 days.
The watch has a decent 1.28-inch t
ouch LCD screen that can display all the details of user tracking as well as the time. GPS with GLONASS is also on Board, and the watch itself can perform the usual functions, especially on the Mi bands, such as tracking heart rate, pulse and live coverage measurements during activities such as jogging and horseback riding. The Smartwatch will also be able to know the intensity of training-something that even high-end Smartphones do not currently offer. Xiaomi has really integrated everything you can into a Smartwatch.
The Hey S3 uses Bluetooth 4.2 To connect to the watch and back up all this data. The Smartwatch of course offers notifications such as missed call notifications, calendar reminders, etc. the watch is also waterproof up to 50 meters, perfect for those swimming sessions. All these features come in a package so good, it’s too unreal. At 539 yuan, the company packs some important specifications at a price that is not at all important. There is no Smartwatch out there at this price point that can compete with all its features.
According to reports, the Smartwatch will currently only be available in China and will be available through Xiaomi’s new Start-up WeLoop. Xiaomi should start working outside of China, because there could be a few million people who would like to buy a watch with these features and at this kind of price. It could look like the much more expensive Nike + edition of The Apple Watch and could also be mistaken for one. But then again, this is really not a bad thing.
